Thanks! As to the cake, I plan to overindulge.
My wife is fixing me my favorite: yellow 2-layer cake (standard "Super Moist" out-of-a-box recipe) with chocolate fudge icing (standard out-of-a-can). I know that probably makes me a cake philistine, but it's MY birthday ;-)
