Am I the only one who hated Fargo?

Posted by: Doug at October 20, 2005 12:33 AMi've never seen it.
Posted by: amelie at October 20, 2005 12:50 AMI was appalled the first time I saw it. But having seen it again, I now think that it is brilliant. William Macy shines and Steve Buscemi ...stumbles. A windshield ice scraper is important, in two different scenes! Because I liked it so much I watched the other films that the Coen brothers have made and am now a real big fan of theirs (excepting the stinker, "O Brother, Where Art Thou").
Posted by: kemp at October 20, 2005 04:19 AMI'd say anybody who didn't like Fargo could be deemed normal. The Coen brothers are an acquired taste. Their movies are not mainstream movies with a broad appeal. They are cult movies. I mean you either like movies like Raising Arizona, Fargo, The Big Lebowski and The Ladykillers or you don't. Can't blame you don't like them, but I will check out their next movie.
What you have like about Fargo is all the sophisticated dialouge: ya, ya, ya, ya.

Posted by: David L at October 20, 2005 08:33 AMNormally I'm a big Coen Brothers Fan. I think Raising Arizona and Miller's Crossing are two of the best movies ever. I just thought Fargo was such a waste of time.
Posted by: Kathy at October 20, 2005 10:07 AMnope. hated it. Fargo was awful.
however, I've seen O Brother....oh....about 13,000 times.
Posted by: MacStansbury at October 20, 2005 02:53 PMI loved it. But like kemp, I didn't know what to make of it the first time I saw it.
