You Tell Him, Lauren!

I've always adored Lauren Bacall. I adore her even more today:

NEW YORK -Lauren Bacall has a few unkind words to say about Tom Cruise. In an interview in the Aug. 8 issue of Time magazine, now on newsstands, the 80-year-old actress says, "When you talk about a great actor, you're not talking about Tom Cruise."

"His whole behavior is so shocking," she says. "It's inappropriate and vulgar and absolutely unacceptable to use your private life to sell anything commercially, but I think it's kind of a sickness."{...}

BWAHAHAHAHAHAAHA!

"When you talk about a great actor, you're not talking about Tom Cruise." Oh, tee hee. He has been so vulgar. Great word choice, Lauren. You can just hear her saying it, can't you? I heart Lauren!

I cannot freakin' wait to hear what poor excuse Tommy Boy comes up with to blow Lauren off. That should be good. Do you think he'll just brush it off by claiming she was on anti-depressants?

Maybe it is a figment of Ms. Bacalls imagination because she is now elderly and more than likely not quite with it anymore. Perhaps she misunderstood the situation at hand with Tom Cruise - Perhaps she wishes she were young again as is Tom Cruise! Sorry but I just cannot imagine Tom Cruise misbehaving!

Sherry, I don't even know where to begin with that.

You obviously haven't jumped off the "Tom Cruise is a God" train yet. Lauren is a sharp as ever; Tom's the one who has gone nutso.

Come back when you have. We'll be happy to have you.

Lauren Bacall is a very out-spoken woman and I supposed at her age she feels she can give her opinion on whatever she wants to and I applaud her.

Tom Cruise is another matter. I have always been a fan, but now I don't know what kind of "thing, being, monster" he has turned into. His behavior is irrational and inappropriate. I am most upset about his ignorant views involving mental illnesses and the use of medications to help people. Brooke Shields finally did what she had to do to deal with her serious post-partem depression. She went to a physician and was given medication that may have saved both her and her baby's life.

Tom Cruise's ignorance is beyond comprehension. None of us like to take medication, but to manage our illnesses and save our lives we do whatever is necessary. His blindness to these facts leaves me flabbergasted. I don't know if his religious beliefs have totally warped his outlook or not. But that's beside the point.

If you ask me, Tom is acting so manic (which is a psychiatric illness) that he probably needs medication to get his life back in control.

I'm 40 and have disliked Cruise since he came on the scene with Top Gun. I've always found him shallow and severely messed up -- not as bad as Michael Jackson, but definitely has issues.

We all have issues, but his presence in the spotlight, whether he wants it or not, has to be one of responsibility.

Whatever he is repressing on the inside, he needs to find a way to deal with it.

I agree with Lauren completely. Tom is very irrational. He has not been the Tommy boy we all know and love. Is it possible he is taking this Scientology alittle too far. Lets hope not. We have enough leftwing religious freaks in the world. For Tom to slam a medical profession the way he has could only mean one thing, medication has not and will never help him with his illness. Tom, Please seek PROFESSIONAL help. By the way Lauren, You have earned the right to SLAM Tom. He's a rookie next to you. LOL

Tom Cruise has lost touch with reality. Ms.Bacall, on the other hand, is right on the mark. Cruise doesn't have a clue- about childbirth, hormones, being a biological parent, or pedophilia. His "girlfriend" is young enough to be his daughter, and the degree of "shallow" that he exudes puts the movie "Shallow Hal" to shame. He should heed Ms. Bacall's admonitions. Cruise SHOULD (cruise, right on outa here).

Amazing, I came across these opinions, and yes Mrs. Becall has the right to hers...just as does Tom Cruise does to his. I also believe her comments were toward Tom promoting his movie...well "Go For IT"...if he expresses his feelings for his girlfriend...WHY NOT!!..Those were the questions the Host's or interviewers were asking...why not give his answers. I love Lauren as an actress..I won't stop watching her films, anymore than I would Tom's just because thier opinions don't match my own. Maybe..one of your blogs had a point, maybe thier jealous by what they see out there, rather than what appears in thier reflections in thier own mirrors.

Bacall's should keep her mouth shut and run her own business and let everyone else run there's. She is a has been which to me she never was all that great to start with.

I think that Lauren Bacall is just a disgruntled old lady! I think she's forgotten what she was like when she was that age, and how she acted about certain actor's! I guess it happens to all of us when we get older. I suppose at 80 years old, she's forgotten what Love is, and how we all act when it happens to us, or in this case her! Remember Humphrey Bogart, just to mention one?

I'm in agreement with Tom Cruise about the use of Prescription Drugs, although not totally. I think way too many children are on prescription Drugs in school and at home, because the parent's are too busy today to take care of them, and would rather drug them then to watch them! I also think this is going to turn on these people when their children growup, and start taking the more serious (illegal) Drugs! What are these "Too Busy Parent's" going to say then? I just don't know what happened to them, or I did my best?! Their not doing anything but drugging their children, to keep them out of their way, instead of taking care of a deeper underlying problem. I see this too often, Drug the child, to keep them calm! Out of sight, out of mind!

Cruise is a moonbat. Mooooooonbat!

Proof: He threw away Nicole Kidman.

Mooooooooooooooooonbat!!!

It was his smirk, from the get-go. Hated it. Twenty years later he's got the opinions and fan club to match his ego - overinflated, and full of nothing but hot air.

PS For the TC Fan Clubbers: If that opinion rocks your world, imagine what Cruise's comments about treatment of postpartum depression have done for millions of women.

I ADMIRE LAUREN BACALL AND JUST SEEN AN INTERVIEW OF HER ON TURNER CLASSICS AND SHE IS JUST AS SMART AND SOPHISTICATED AS EVER. SHE IS TRULY A MOVIE STAR. WHEN HER HUSBAND (BOGART) DIED SHE ACTED LIKE THE LADY SHE WAS. SHE MAY BE 80 BUT SHE STILL HAS IT.
SHE IS ONE OF THE FINEST LADIES FROM SCREEN AND STAGE.
MAYBE SOME OF THESE QUOTE "MOVIE STARS" TODAY OUGHT TO CHECK HER OUT.
